Black Pepper Shrimp


3 pounds large shrimp, thawed
8 T. butter
3 T. chopped garlic
4 T. freshly ground black pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Peel, rinse and drain shrimp.
  3. Place them in a shallow baking pan.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter.
  5. Add garlic and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Pour the garlic butter over the shrimp and toss to coat.
  7. Pepper shrimp until they are well covered.
  8. Bake until pink, about 5 minutes.
  9. Turn and bake a few minutes longer and pepper again.  Use a heavy hand with the pepper.
  10. Serve shrimp with pasta or warm bread and salad.
