Fabulous Margaritas on the Rocks

We've been making margaritas with frozen limeade and regular tequila for years.  When we tried this recipe the difference is like night and day.  Using good quality liquors is a must.

2 cups sweet and sour mix
1 c. triple sec (we use Cointreau)
1 ½ cups gold tequila (like Hornitos)
1/3 c. brandy-based orange liqueur(such as Grand Marnier)
2 limes, quartered
  1. Salt the rims of 8 glasses by pouring salt onto a small plate.  Rub the rims of the glasses with lime and press them into the salt.
  2. Fill the glasses with good clear bagged ice cubes.
  3. In a blender, combine all the liquors and blend until smooth.
  4. Pour into glasses and squeeze a quarter lime into each glass and serve.
