1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. allspice
1/4 t. cloves
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Blend in eggs and vanilla.
- Add combined dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with bananas mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour into greased and floured 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
