2 large bananas
1/2 cup sugar
2 T. fresh lemon juice
3/4 cup heavy cream
chopped nuts, optional
- Peel 2 large bananas.
- Peel any coarse threads and finely mash the bananas.
- Add 1/2 c. sugar and 2 T. lemon juice.
- Put mixture in a medium size cooking pot.
- Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until the mixture bubbles.
- Remove from heat and place mixture in a bowl.
- Chill thoroughly.
- Whip 3/4 c. heavy cream and fold in the banana mixture.
- Add chopped nuts if desired.
