Bran Muffins


1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 T. molasses
1/4 t. salt
1 1/2 c. natural bran
2 3/4 c. flour
3 t. baking powder
1 c. walnuts
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 c. buttermilk
3 t. baking soda
2 beaten eggs 
  1. Cream butter, brown sugar and molasses.
  2. Combine salt, bran, flour, baking powder, walnuts and raisins.
  3. Combine buttermilk, baking soda and beaten eggs.
  4. Add bran mixture and buttermilk mixture alternately to the butter mixture.
  5. Fill greased muffin tins 3/4 full.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
