This smells wonderful when it is cooking. Tastes great too.
1 3-pound beef roast (or any size)
1/2 to 3/4 stick of butter
Worcestershire sauce about 3 T. or to taste
1 thick slice onion
salt and pepper
1 can beef broth

- Put roast in a baking pan with sides and salt and pepper.
- Attach onion to the top of the roast with a toothpick.
- Melt butter and Worcestershire sauce together and pour over all.
- Roast 25 minutes per pound for medium rare.
- When done remove roast and let rest.
- To prepare the au jus, add a little water to the pan and stir.
- Add the beef broth to this mixture.
- Strain, heat and serve.
