Diet French Fries

Unfried French Fries

Diet French fries?  Are you kidding?  It actually is good though.
I believe this recipe is from Oprah’s cook


5 baking potatoes, about 2 ¾ pounds
Vegetable Pam or some other spray cooking oil
2 large egg whites
1 tablespoon Cajun spice
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Slice each potato lengthwise into ¼ inch ovals, then slice each oval lengthwise in to matchsticks.
  3. Coat a baking sheet with 3 sprays of the vegetable oil.
  4. Combine egg whites and Cajun spice in a bowl.
  5. Add the potatoes and mix to coat.
  6. Put potatoes on a baking sheet and spread in a single layer.
  7. Place on the bottom shelf of the oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, turning every 6 to 8 minutes until brown.
