Strawberry Pie


Strawberry Pie

This must be made the morning of the day you will be serving. This was my Grandmother’s recipe. It’s tasty and pretty.

1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch

1 cup water

½ of a 3 ounce package strawberry jello

1 quart cleaned, whole strawberries

Baked pie shell

  1. Mix the sugar, cornstarch and water in a 2 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from the heat.
  2. Add the half package of strawberry jello.
  3. Cool to room temperature.
  4. Place the whole strawberries tip side up in baked pie shell.
  5. Pour the jello mixture over the strawberries.
  6. Refrigerate for several hours, covered with foil.
