Grilled Garlic Bread And Baked Garlic Bread

Grilled Garlic Bread

1 crusty bread baguette
4 T. melted butter
Garlic-rosemary spread:
6 cloves garlic
1 sprig fresh rosemary
1 T. or so of olive oil
Chop until it makes a paste
Cut bread in half lengthwise.  
Then cut each of these in half.
  1. Brush with melted butter.
  2. Spread garlic paste on each piece of bread.
  3. Grill both sides of bread making sure you have grill marks on the buttered side and just browned on the other side.
Baked Garlic Bread

1 long thin baguette
1 stick softened butter, do not melt
2 T. finely chopped fresh garlic
2 T. finely chopped flat leaf parsley
2 T. chopped chives
  1. Cut the baguette in  1 1/2 inch slices.
  2. Spread the butter mixture on each slice.
  3. Place on a baking pan, buttered side up.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown, about 12 to 20 minutes.  Watch it closely.  You want the sides of the bread crusty and the middle of the bread soft but brown.
