3 c. flour
1/3 c. sugar
2 1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. soda
3/4 c. cold butter
1 c. buttermilk
milk for brushing tops of the scones
cinnamon sugar
1/2 t. salt
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Cut in butter.
- Make a well.
- Pour in buttermilk.
- Mix and form into 2 round equal portions and pat to 3/4 inch thick.
- Cut into 6 wedges and brush with milk. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
