1 lb. coarsely grated cheese
9 slices day old bread, crusts removed
salt and pepper
2 bunch's green onions, chopped
4 eggs lightly beaten
3 c. milk
1 t. dry mustard
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
2 T. grated Parmesan cheese
- Cut 3 slices of bread to cover bottom of a greased 2 quart casserole.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper, half the onions and half of the cheese.
- Make another layer of bread, salt and pepper, onion and cheese.
- Top with the last layer of bread.
- Mix eggs, milk, mustard, Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour over casserole and refrigerate all day or overnight.
- Remove from the refrigerator 2 hours before baking.
- Top with Parmesan and bake 60- 90 minutes or until set and brown on top.
- Serve as soon as removed from the oven.
