This is really tasty. We actually ate it for dinner with roasted peppers. Makes 10 servings.
12 slices bread, crusts trimmed and cubed
1 10-ounce package frozen broccoil,
chopped and cooked tender crisp (or a comparable amount of fresh broccoli)
2 cups cooked ham, cubed
3 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 T. onion, minced
3 1/2 c. milk
6 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 t. dry mustard.
- Remove crusts and dice the bread into 1/2" cubes.
- Layer bread, broccoli, ham,cheese and onion in a greased 3-quart casserole.
- Repeat layering.
- Mix milk, eggs and dry mustard together and pour over all.
- Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes.
