This recipe is for a 1 1/2 pound machine (maximum 3 cups flour). It's a basic bread recipe. I just made 2 loaves and cube the bread to use for Thanksgiving stuffing. My mother bought the bread and cubed it a week before Thanksgiving. She had a big white bowl and would toss the cubes with her hands every so often to dry the bread out. I now do the same thing and it makes me smile every time I toss.
3 c. bread flour
2 T. sugar
1 1/2 T. dry milk
1 1/2 t. salt
1 1/4 c. water
1 1/2 T. butter
2 t. quick rise yeast or 3 t. regular yeast
- Put all the ingredients except the yeast in the bread machine bowl.
- Put the yeast in the yeast dispenser.
- Set your settings as your machine manual tells you to.
