Broccolini with Lemon and Garlic

 Broccolini is a green vegetable similar to broccoli but with small florets and long, thin stalks.  This is really easy and really good. Nothing more to say.

6 ounces Broccolini
1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive oil
2 garlic cloves minced
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
salt & pepper


  1.  In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter in 1 tablespoon oil.  Add minced garlic and saute for 2 minutes. 
  2. Add Broccolini and saute stirring to coat, 1 minute.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 5 to 8 minutes for tender crisp or longer if desired.
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice.
  5. Salt and pepper to taste.
