These rolls are made with yellow cake mix. Now what's not to like about that?
1 box (18 1/2 ounce) yellow cake mix
5 cups all purpose flour
2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
2 1/2 cups hot water
butter (softened)
2 Tablespoons cinnamon
2 cups granulated sugar

Topping:
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 cup chopped nuts
- Combine cake mix, flour and yeast in a large bowl. Whisk to combine.
- Stir in hot water.
- Knead dough on a floured surface 10 to 15 times.
- Place in oiled bowl and brush top lightly with more oil.
- Cover and let rise until doubled.
- Roll dough to a 9" x 18" rectangle
- Spread with softened butter.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over the dough.
- Roll up jelly roll style and cut into 12 pieces and place in a 13" x 9" pan.
- Let rise in pan until doubled.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Make topping by combining butter, brown sugar, light corn syrup and nuts.
- Pour topping evenly over rolls.
- Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.
