Vieux Carre Cocktail

4 dashes aromatic bitters
2 t. Benedictine
¾ oz. sweet vermouth
¾ oz. Cognac
¾ oz. rye whiskey
Garnish:  Maraschino cherry and lemon peel

  1.   Combine ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice.
  2.   Stir well.
  3.   Strain in to an old fashioned glass filled with ice.
  4. Garnish with cherry and peel.
