1 1/2 c. finely chopped tomatoes
One 4-ounce can green chilies
1.4 c. finely chopped green pepper
1/4 c. finely chopped green onions
3 to 4 T. chopped cilantro (optional)
2 T. fresh lemon or lime juice
1 to 2 fresh jalapenos, seeded and finely chopped
(or chopped jarred jalapenos about 2 T. or more for desired hotness)
1 minced clove garlic
salt and pepper to taste
- Stir all the ingredients together in a medium bowl.
- If desired, place 1 cup of the salsa in a food processor or blender. Process slightly and return to the remaining salsa.
- Cover and chill until ready to use.
