Coleslaw with Dill Pickles

This is unusual because you add chopped dill pickles to the mix.  I sometimes use dill hamburger relish which is sold next to the sweet relish that most of you know.  Just something different.

¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 ½ tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
¼ teaspoon ground cumin
salt & pepper
2 ½ cups thinly shredded cabbage
1 medium size carrot, shredded
½ green bell pepper, seeded and cut into thin strips or medium dice
1 cup thinly sliced green onions
½ cup diced dill pickles or dill relish
4 to 5 ounces Havarti cheese, diced
  1. Combine sour cream, mayo, mustard, cumin and salt and pepper.
  2. Mix until blended.
  3. In a salad bowl, combine cabbage, carrot, bell pepper, onions, pickles and cheese.
  4. Pour dressing over salad and mix lightly.
  5. Chill before serving.
