Broccoli, Cheese, Rice Casserole

I hesitate to include this recipe because of the cheese wiz and cream of chicken soup.  But alas, it is a keeper of mine and real 50’s comfort food.  By the way, similar recipes that were rated get great ratings.  It just tastes good.

1 bunch broccoli, cut in florets and cooked till tender crisp or 1 package frozen chopped broccoli
¼ stick butter
1 onion, chopped
1 ½ rib celery, chopped
2 cups cooked rice
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 small jar cheese whiz
Tabasco sauce
Bread crumbs, optional
  1. Sauté onion and celery in butter.
  2. Stir the remaining ingredients together and put in a 2 quart casserole.
  3. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
