1 cup (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 ounce) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed milk
2 T. butter
2 T. water
1 t. vanilla extract
- For the best serving experience, have the ice cream already scooped into serving glasses (I like to use margarita glasses) and frozen solid in the freezer.
- Melt chocolate chips with the sweetened milk, butter and water in a medium sized heavy sauce pan (or double boiler) over medium heat.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Serve warm over ice cream or as a fruit dipping sauce.
- To reheat: Combine desired amount of sauce with a small amount of water in a heavy sauce pan. Stir constantly over low heat until heated through. You can also reheat in the microwave on high power 3 to 31/2 minutes, stirring after each minute.
