Hot Fudge Sundae Sauce



1 cup (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 ounce) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed milk
2 T. butter
2 T. water
1 t. vanilla extract
  1. For the best serving experience, have the ice cream already scooped into serving glasses (I like to use margarita glasses) and frozen solid in the freezer.
  2. Melt chocolate chips with the sweetened milk, butter and water in a medium sized heavy sauce pan (or double boiler) over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. Serve warm over ice cream or as a fruit dipping sauce.
  5. To reheat: Combine desired amount of sauce with a small amount of water in a heavy sauce pan.  Stir constantly over low heat until heated through.  You can also reheat in the microwave on high power 3 to 31/2 minutes, stirring after each minute.
