This was one of the first vodka-based drinks to catch on in the U.S. Note that the recipe calls for ginger beer (no alcohol) not ginger ale. It is served in a copper mug.
2 Fl ounces vodka
1 ounce fresh lime juice
4 to 6 Fl ounces ginger beer
1 lime wedge, for garnish
- Pour the vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer into an ice filled highball glass or copper mug. Stir and garnish with the lime wedge.
