My Favorite Open Face Tomato Sandwich

I've made this my whole life.  It's really tasty.

 1 slice white bread
mayonnaise for spreading
1 thick slice ripe tomato
1 slice American cheese
oregano
  1. Spread the slice of bread with mayo.
  2. Pile the slice of tomato on the bread with the cheese on top.
  3. Sprinkle with oregano to taste.
  4. Broil until brown and bubbly.
